Senior Marketing Executives Support Development of Event Marketing Institute
NORWALK, CT – The Event Marketing Institute is pleased to announce that 12 marketing leaders have joined its Executive Advisory Committee.
EMI is the first and only professional organization focused exclusively on events from the business marketing perspective. EMI cuts across the many silos of events – trade shows, sponsorships, meetings, proprietary events, consumer events, and road shows. The mission of EMI is to provide key executives, event managers, agency executives and marketing professionals in organizations big and small with the newest ideas, cutting-edge resources, best practices, research, training, and members-only benefits.
“We’re extremely honored to have such a group of important industry leaders actively participate in the development of the Event Marketing Institute,” commented EMI President and Executive Director Kerry Smith. “These executives are not only committed to helping us chart the strategic direction of the institute, but also are helping to form the framework for how the event industry defines itself within the broader marketing landscape.”
Executive Advisory Committee members will actively work with EMI staff to advise on content offerings, research/study ideas, and other features and benefits that will bring value to the industry. The EAC will also be a valuable sounding board for EMI staff to help develop an ongoing suite of member-oriented products and services.
Executive Advisory Committee participation is by invitation and is open to EMI members in good standing. EAC representation is made up of brand-side marketing executives as well as Global Underwriter-level institute supporters.
The Event Marketing Institute will make its formal debut during the Experiential Marketing Summit, May 14-16 at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago (information at www.eventmarketer.com/summit)
